Pre-Pregnancy Prep : Introduction

Did you know that it is important to start cleansing and prepping your body at least two months before you start trying to conceive?

Not only will the following information prep you for pregnancy, some of these natural tips and suggestions may also help to alleviate menstrual irregularities and hormonal imbalances.
The fact that our bodies can create and birth another human being is an amazing miracle in the first place… Our bodies (along with the spirit of your incoming child) know when it is time for you to create a new life.  Each month our womb creates a perfect cushy atmosphere to welcome a hopefully fertilized egg then (if fertilized and properly implanted) begins to spend every second for 9 months creating new cells, body parts, senses, and sustaining the growth and development of a new human being.  This really is a big job!  I am so honored to be born a women (I'm sure most men are stoked to be guys and NOT have to experience pregnancy, so know that I am not trying to say women are better by any means!) I believe that most women were born to want to create a new life! Duh! Its a part of our DNA to get us to keep producing offspring thus sustaining humankind!  That being said, please understand that it is not always the case that you will get pregnant on the first try.  There are SO many factors that come into play and it is for a good cause.  Your body/mind/spirit are all involved in this creation process and if there are any blockages happening within your being, maybe it is a sign that you need to step back and re-evaluate your self.  Miscarriage is, unfortunately, common and for some of us it is a normal part of our womanhood.
"As many as 75% of all conceptions miscarry"
While that may seem like a shocking percentage, its really just a number and a normal part of life, something could have been abnormal, your body recognized it and terminated it all before you even have a missed period!  If you have a positive result on a pregnancy test then this statistic would not apply to you.

"Because there's only around a 30% chance of getting pregnant each menstrual cycle even when you're having regular sex, researchers speculate that fertilized eggs often fail to implant, usually with the woman unaware that conception occurred. "

Fertilization:  The first big step when creating a baby!  The egg is fertilized by the sperm.

Implantation: The fertilized egg makes its way down the fallopian tube and gets cozy in the uterine lining. Yay!

Since there is only about a 30% chance of getting pregnant each menstrual cycle even when you're having regular sex,  adding some extra herbs, supplements & fertility boosting foods into your daily routines will definitely help to strengthen and tone your reproductive systems so that when you do conceive, you are providing the best possible cells and  atmosphere for growth.  Some foods and herbs  are especially beneficial to incorporate during ovulation time.  Creating, exploring and deepening your fertility together can be especially sensual, magical and fun.  Trying natural aphrodisiacs, and deepening your sacred bond as man & woman, coming together to create a new life is SO exciting! There really is no need to rush that beautiful transformational process…  Please don't feel bad about not being pregnant when you want to be,  try not to feel like it is a struggle to get pregnant, there is so much to consider and learn! Trust in your own personal timing and process.

"15-20% of confirmed pregnancies end in miscarriage."

* About 80% of miscarriages occur before 12 weeks,
* Pregnancy loss after 12 weeks is 3-4%
* Stillbirth after 20 weeks is 1 out of 160 people.

Why am i talking about miscarriage? Well, because I believe it is something that needs to be talked about more especially with the environmental factors altering our bodies enough to cause infertility and other health and hormonal problems which are on the rise.  According to National Survey of Family Growth, CDC, approximately 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy.  Being informed with this information tells us that we should actively focus on our own personal health and wellness before attempting to create a baby.  I believe it is important to dedicate months of time and energy preparing your body for pregnancy.  Although miscarriage is always an extremely sad thing, if you experience miscarriage- that was just a part of your path in life.  The truth is that we never truly know why it happens, but it does sometimes and you are the one who chooses how to navigate through your feelings and thoughts with your own experience.  There is always hope and there is always new life and new beginnings.

You are doing yourself a beautiful favor by supporting your body holistically and naturally as you prepare to experience pregnancy.
